Have you ever needed to run away from a dog before and the only way out was a fence? Now imagine this scenario, you come to your friend’s house, you discover they have a new dog, the dog is big and intimidating when the dog sees you, it begins to bark, and it charges at you, your only way out is to scale the fence of the building, would scale it? Your answer is good as mine, you would avoid stories that touch. Scaling a fence on a normal day is a difficult thing to do but because of the situation, you would jump without thinking twice.
Most times we feel we need the motivation to perform tasks daily, but the truth is we need to perform the important task in our lives daily to get motivated regularly. Set a goal towards what you want and go for it, regardless of the motivation, for instance, if you are a writer do not wait till the muse hits you like a stray bullet before you write, when we are consistent with what we do motivation sets in, I heard scaling fences in my head about two weeks ago, but I am writing about it now, would it have been better then than now? I don’t know but I know writing this essay is scaling a fence for me.
Fear of the fence is limiting yourself, imagine what you could do if you scale fences daily, scaling fences does not necessarily mean the big things in your life, the small things matter as well. Scaling fences is getting rid of obstacles in your way, obstacles like procrastination, inferiority complex, mediocrity and others. Fences are what stop you from seeing what is ahead, the more you scale them the clearer your path.
I hope we will scale our fences daily and see the great things ahead of us.
